Leadership Team

Mike Tidmarsh
President

Mike began his career with us in 2018 and has been instrumental to our company’s growth. He has over 10 years of experience in land management, mostly in the midstream sector. His expertise is throughout Canada including Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Ontario, and New Brunswick. He holds his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Lethbridge and is currently working towards his Executive MBA from the University of Calgary. His leadership, knowledge, and dedication, paired with his extensive experience with project development and the operations side of the business, quickly made him an integral part of our organization. Mike’s focus is on strategy development and execution, as well as spearheading our company’s growth. A big proponent of family and fun, Mike’s personal values translate to the culture at Canada West Land.

Rob Edwards
Director, Operations

Rob has over 16 years of industry experience, working both in house and on the broker side. He has been an integral part of our team as a Project and Client Manager, where he has been helping our clients navigate timelines, resourcing needs, and budgets throughout all stages of the project cycle. He has been a key part of our continued and expanded success within British Columbia and Alberta, while being responsible for the growth and management of our entire British Columbia based team. Rob is focused on client management, corporate operations and growth, culture within the organization, as well as overseeing operations within each of our geographical areas. An avid golfer, Rob never says no to a round and is constantly searching for his next course.

MELISSA ENNS
Director, Technical Services

Melissa is one of our longest-standing employees, having joined our team over 15 years ago. She has been instrumental in creating processes and procedures, spearheading our information technology initiative, and training our teammates. Melissa is highly experienced in coordinating the administrative team on both small and large-scale projects and provides support to many groups within our organization. She is exceptional at managing client expectations and excels at anticipating and resolving changes and project issues. Melissa also works very closely with our IT and GIS teams to ensure efficiencies are found on projects and that the team is able to perform various tasks accurately and effectively. Her focus is on information technology, finance, and project controls, and providing support to our administrative team. When Melissa isn’t hustling at the office, she is spending time with her family and planning their next adventure.

Greg Kreese
Director, Corporate Development

Greg began his career with us in the spring of 2019. He has over 15 years of progressive experience within the Oil and Gas industry, with specific expertise in Production Chemicals, Client Management and the Design and Implementation of Business and HSE Processes and Procedures. He has had proven success in expanding business and corporate vision through the development and utilization of people, process, and technology. He has been integral to our company’s Business Development team and building lasting relationships with our clients. Greg is responsible for strategic corporate growth, marketing, and spearheading our bids and proposals. In his free time, Greg spends his time with his wife and four boys, and counting down the days until Stampede.

Founders

Jarvis Nicoll

Director

Jarvis is a big picture thinker, entrepreneur, business owner, and mentor. He brings an energetic perspective to both business and life, while continuously pushing the boundaries of what is possible and disrupting conventional thinking. With a passion for people, he is constantly pushing others to achieve their goals and be their authentic selves. Jarvis is the co-founder of Canada West Land and is currently the owner of several businesses in the investment, energy, renewables, and print media marketing sectors. These businesses fall under the CARDON Group, which is a diversified investment company with operating entities under its umbrella, including Canada West Land. CARDON is focused on job creation, investment, and process improvement.

Jarvis completed a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business Management from the University of Alberta and calls Calgary home. Having grown up on a ranch 20 minutes west of Calgary, he is committed to this city and province. An active member of the Alberta Chapter of YPO and heavily involved with the Calgary Business community, Jarvis is continually investing time in the next generation of business leaders in YYC.

Doug Bedard

Director

Doug is a business owner, entrepreneur, sports fan, and family man. He is the co-founder of Canada West Land and is currently the owner several businesses in the investment, energy, renewables, and print media marketing sectors. The CARDON Group is a diversified portfolio company with operating entities under its umbrella, which includes Canada West Land. Doug is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan in an agricultural business discipline, and has over 15 years of agricultural, oil field construction, and land experience. He has a breadth of project management practice and is directly involved in our day-to-day operations with many of our executive leadership teams.

Doug is also passionate about leadership and continuous improvement. He is part of TEC Canada, where he meets with a private advisory group each month under the same guiding principles – to help one another become better leaders, make better decisions, and achieve better results. Outside of the office, Doug can be found spending time with his family, riding dirt bikes, snowmobiling, trap shooting, or on the lake.
